Precare Instructions:
Before coming in for your treatment, it is important to follow certain pre-care instructions to ensure the best results and a smooth healing process. Here are some important do's and don'ts to keep in mind:
Don'ts:
Avoid caffeinated and energizing drinks: Refrain from consuming coffee or any other energizing drinks on the day of your treatment. Caffeine can sometimes increase sensitivity and discomfort during the procedure and also thins the blood and can cause excessive bleeding during the procedure.
Avoid blood thinners: For 24 hours prior to your treatment, avoid taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, alcohol, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen. These substances can increase the risk of bleeding and hinder the healing process. However, you can take Tylenol as it does not thin the blood.
Refrain from omega-3 (fish oil) intake: Starting one week before your treatment, it is recommended to avoid taking omega-3 supplements or fish oil. These can potentially affect the pigment retention and healing of the treated area.
Stay away from intense sun exposure: Three days before your appointment, avoid tanning or exposing yourself to intense sunlight. If you have sunburn on the area of the procedure, we will need to reschedule the appointment, which may result in the loss of your deposit.
Avoid intense physical activity: Plan not to work out or engage in activities that cause excessive sweating for about a week following your treatment. Sweating can potentially interfere with the healing process and affect the color retention of the pigment.
No waxing: Refrain from waxing the area to be treated for 2-3 days before your appointment. Waxing may cause unnecessary irritation and make the skin more sensitive during the procedure.
Avoid intense treatments: Two weeks prior to your treatment, avoid undergoing chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser procedures, or any other intense treatments. These treatments can harm the skin's integrity and interfere with the outcome of your permanent makeup.
Do's:
Shower and fix your hair: Before your appointment, it is recommended to shower and fix your hair. This step is not mandatory, but it will be more convenient for you during the healing process.
Prepare for before and after photos: At your appointment, be prepared to take before and after photos. These photos will help us track your progress and showcase the transformation achieved with our services.
Consider the Timing Before Getting Botox for Optimal Results
If you're considering getting Botox injections, we recommend getting it done 2 weeks after your treatment. Here's why: While it is generally safe to get Botox while you have permanent makeup,
Botox, when injected into certain areas of the face, can subtly alter the appearance of your brows. As experts in permanent makeup, we pride ourselves in crafting the most natural and flattering brow shapes that enhance your unique features. By getting Botox after your permanent makeup treatment, it allows us to work with your natural anatomy and assess how the Botox injections may affect the symmetry of your brows.
